It is 10,645 kms between Cape Breton and Nairobi. This is a fact not just a perception. Here are two more facts: In this world of misconceptions we must strive to better understand our global neighbours. Art is a global language that leads to better understanding.
Ten artists from Cape Breton Island, Canada are reaching out to partner with ,BrushTu, ten artists from Nairobi, Kenya. Through the exchange of found objects between partnerships the project is endeavouring to breakdown misconceptions, cultivate a better global understanding and create artwork that embraces two far-flung communities who are separated by only 10,645kms.
